Home Dialysis Centers began operation in Glendale, California in 2005 with the main objective of providing home hemodialysis therapies to ESRD patients in Southern California. Since then, a second free standing home dialysis training site has been opened in Orange County to address the needs of patients in that area. As an independent provider, explains the medical director and co-founder Dr. Raffi Minasian, we are constantly striving to offer the best possible care for dialysis patients and thus far evidence from Canada, Europe and now the US is indicating that the optimal form of dialysis is frequent ( 5 - 6 per week) daily hemodialysis rendered in the setting of the patients own home. The desired outcome for Home Dialysis Centers is the improvement in our patient's general health status in a way that allows them to also live their lives with the least restrictions
In an effort to improve the quality of life for dialysis patients, Home Dialysis Centers offers daily home hemodialysis therapies to patient who are willing, committed, have an adequate support structure at home and live in a residence that can accommodate the equipment for home hemodialysis.
Our ultimate goal is to have a healthier patient who is employed, involved with their family and is an active participant in their own care.
