Home Dialysis Centers clinical and technical specialists will be available to train prospective patients and will provide support, teaching material, knowledge and expertise on an on- going-basis.
We have successfully trained patients on Nxstage One device as well as the Fresenius (2008H/ 2008K) delivery systems. More than three dozen patients are currently enrolled in our home program with one third being on slow nocturnal dialysis using one of the above equipment. The Fresenius delivery system and the NXstage one have been chosen because of their reliability and their track record in delivering home hemodialysis treatments.
The Nxstage One device is a portable dialysis machine designed to bring ease of use and flexibility to home patients. The device is designed to be portable and thus giving patients the ability to travel with their machine. The equipment has been on the market for two years and has demonstrated its reliability and customer support through Nxstage.
The Fresenius 2008H and the 2008K delivery systems have been used for daily home hemodialysis for several years with an excellent track record.
The choice of equipment including the pros and cons of each is discussed with each patient prior to patient training and in most cases patients are given a choice in equipment.
