Patients who are employed are given flexibility with regards to time and dates for training. Patients have access to a 24-hour, seven-days-a- week support phone line and in case of an emergency, we offer in-center back-up dialysis.
The training schedule will be flexible and consider the needs of patients and staff as Home Dialysis Centers and the patients work together as a team to ensure a successful training experience for each individual. The training will vary according to the type of equipment used and the patient's learning ability.
Generally, the average training time for a patient is between three (3) to five (5) weeks. The main goal is to make sure the patient and partner together are able to safely perform all aspects of home hemodialysis. Training is paced to the individual patients needs.
